2023 Bishop's Prayer

Mass of Thanksgiving

Join Bishop Rice for 2023 Bishop's Prayer!

During the days of Lent, the Church places special emphasis on Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving. There could be no better season for us to acknowledge our gratitude for the many gifts shared and sacrifices made in walking hand-in-hand with the most vulnerable among us.

On Saturday, April 1, Bishop Edward M. Rice will lead us in the annual Bishop's Prayer for Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri (CCSOMO). This year, it will take the form of a Mass of Thanksgiving, at 8 a.m., at St. Ann Church, Carthage, MO, during which we will lift to God our prayers for the homeless individuals and families, struggling veterans, pregnant women in crisis, and others whom CCSOMO serves every day, as well as prayers of gratitude for the agency itself.

We would love for you to attend in person but we understand if you cannot and have provided links below to attend via Facebook Livestream through either the CCSOMO page or the Diocese of Springfield-Girardeau page. Both links will be provided below.

We also want to be praying for YOU. Please use the button below to submit a prayer request to our CCSOMO prayer team.
