CCSOMO Partners with Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks

(Springfield, MO) – Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri (CCSOMO) is teaming up with Breast Cancer Foundation (BCFO) in a mutually beneficial partnership that enhances support services for individuals and families in need in Southwest Missouri.

CCSOMO is donating a box truck and committing all donated items, except for monthly LifeHouse wish list items, to BCFO. In exchange, CCSOMO clients will be provided with vouchers to shop at local Neat Repeats thrift stores, owned and operated by BCFO.

“This partnership marks a new chapter in our continuing efforts to support those facing life challenges in our area,” said Ken Palermo, Chief Executive Officer of CCSOMO. “Neat Repeats’ thrift store model instills the sense of control and dignity we all desire, allowing our clients the opportunity to shop for themselves or their families.”

The Neat Repeats locations in Joplin, Ozark, and Springfield will serve as accessible outlets for clients in CCSOMO’s Maternal and Family, Housing, and Veteran programs. With a wide variety of clothing, household items, furniture, and more, clients will have the opportunity to purchase items that best suit their needs.

“Our organizations share a common goal of helping people,” said Joe Daues, BCFO. “So this kind of collaboration just makes sense for the people of southwest Missouri.   When we work together, we can all do so much more!”

The partnership between CCSOMO and BCFO represents the benefits of nonprofit partnerships aimed at increased community support. For more information on Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri and Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, visit ccsomo.org and bcfo.org.
