We seek to improve the lives of those who served our country and their families through our Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (SSVF) program.
Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri provides services to those who served our country and their families through our Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. We work with veterans who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, have limited income, or lack employment. Our highly qualified case management team works with clients to overcome the barriers they are facing to create lasting change and long-term success.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)
SSVF addresses the harsh reality of homelessness among veterans and their families. By providing case management and other supportive services, CCSOMO promotes and supports housing stability among very low-income veteran families.
This program consists of a combination of services including rapid rehousing and homeless prevention services. Our goal is to provide immediate housing or maintain current housing. Once housing is addressed, clients and case managers work together to identify barriers that might jeopardize housing stability. Clients are provided with resources, including budgeting and financial counseling, and connected with community partners that address their long-term needs.
